On Thursday 3rd December 2020 Hill were announced as the winners of the ‘Best Training or Recruitment Initiative’ Housebuilder Award for their partnership with Women into Construction.
The 5-star homebuilders were recognised for their unique partnership with Women into Construction, working with a WiC seconded Project Manager to set-up and deliver a programme to support women in Cambridgeshire.
We’re delighted to announce that after the success of the initial 18-month programme, Hill have committed to supporting the partnership for an additional 18-months.
Kath Moore MBE, Managing Director for WiC said of the partnership “Women into Construction are delighted to be working with Hill Group UK. Their innovative approach to support WiC has allowed us to expand our delivery into a completely new region, an opportunity we would not have had without their support. By funding Shelley Lawrence to set-up, run and deliver the WiC programme in Cambridgeshire, Hill has not only enabled a programme to be built to encourage diversity in their own talent pool, but they have also created support that benefits the entire industry in the region.”
Shelley Lawrence, Seconded WiC Project Manager, working with Hill Group UK adds. “A huge thank you to all at Hill Group UK for championing the work of WiC. I’m delighted that your commitment and action to attract more women into the industry has been recognised and I look forward to working with you for an extended 18-months.”
