Kisanet – Assistant Engineer
Work Placement

Kisanet holds a BSC in civil engineering but has no site experience in the UK. She completed a 2-week placement as an assistant engineer working on levelling surveys with Hill’s subcontractor Coinford in October 2020. This work experience gave Kisanet a good understanding of UK engineering practices. She learnt to prepare cubes for concreting testing and the requirements for concrete pouring, as well as setting up the EDM and surveying. She completed the paperwork required, and extended her knowledge of AutoCAD.
