Laing O’Rourke Pre-Apprenticeship Programme

Laing O’Rourke, The Skills Centre and WiC are working together to bring you a three-week pre-apprenticeship programme in Steel Fixing and Formwork.

The three-week programme starts in July 2022 and consists of taster sessions at Old Oak Common station, training in employability skills, gaining a CSCS card, Level 1 Health & Safety training and hands on skills tasters at The Skills Centre.

In addition full 1-2-1 support will be provided by Women into Construction.

Transport for London – Transport & Engineering Programme

Transport for London and WiC are working together to bring you a four-week programme aimed at inspiring women to join the Transport & Engineering sectors.

The four-week programme starts in July 2022 and consists of work focused training and support by CONEL College, work placements with a TFL employer company plus personalised mentoring and support by WiC.

Cambridgeshire Programmes

WiC Employment Programme – Cambridgeshire

Women into Construction is working in Cambridgeshire, in partnership with Hill Group UK, to offer women looking for a role in construction the following support;

  • 1-2-1 advice and guidance
  • CSCS training
  • Virtual and in-person work placements 
  • Remote mentoring 
  • CV, application and interview advice 
  • Employment brokerage

West Midlands Programmes

Citizen’s Women into Construction Programme

Citizen and WiC are working together to bring you a five-week programme, aimed at women who would like to work in the Housing sector.

The five-week programme starts in June 2022 and will include a two-week work placement with Citizen, gaining a CSCS card and level 1 Health & Safety training.

In addition full 1-2-1 support will be provided by WiC.
