    Backed by the CITB, the Women into Construction team has over 150 years combined experience in the sector and over the past 10 years has successfully worked with more than 100 construction companies in the UK to support women into employment.

    Our 2018 Social Return on Investment Report showed that WiC generates up to £6 of social value for every £1 invested.

  • How Does It Work?

    By partnering with Women into Construction you get the following services:

    • Tailored support package – our team will work with you to tailor a range of activities to help you win tenders and deliver your contractual employment and skills requirements. This can include school engagement, work trials, apprenticeships, interview sessions and job entry support.
    • ‘Try before you buy’ – our flagship work placement programme helps companies trial the skills and attitudes of our women candidates in their business. We support women with travel and childcare costs to help them access these opportunities.
    • Vacancy and Recruitment support – we can provide you with a selection of suitable female candidates for identified vacancies – including provision of CSCS cards and additional construction related training and tools if required.
    • Into and in Work support – for companies and new recruits during the initial transition phase into the sector, ensuring all parties are happy and productive in their new roles.
    • Diversity and Inclusion Training – supporting your legal obligation, we offer bespoke training for hiring managers, supervisors and site workers to help you recruit and retain women in your business.

    For 2019 we offer three levels of Membership which include access to all the services detailed above plus more.
